Ignition Cut Load Cells

Most modern race vehicles and motor cycles with sequential gearboxes now require
the advantage of being able to momentarily cut the ignition during gear changing.

We have developed many different systems but all with the same aim, which offer
many advantages over existing systems. Some use load cells placed beneath
the gearshift knob, to gauges bonded directly to linkages and leavers.

The amplified signal is fed into the engine management system to allow the
software to control the switching point and duration.

Driveshafts and Propshafts

To monitor torque loads on driveshafts and propshafts strain gauges can be
applied directly to existing components.

Due to the high loads often experienced our installation methods have been
developed to increase reliability and accuracy.

Coupled to contact-less telemetry equipment, the gauged shaft provides valuable
information when developing vehicle, engine and transmission performance.

Exhausts

Monitoring strain at high temperatures requires a different approach to lower
temperature applications.

We can install special strain gauges to withstand 1000°C as shown in the photographs.
Providing a long-term solution to monitoring the loads applied to exhaust components,
welded strain gauges have proven a reliable and effective method of high temperature
strain measurement.
